The story behind the collection

Devong's Heritage began with handwoven bags, and grew to take in the other things we make and gather: jewellery, coffee, pepper and dried chili powder and kelulut honey.

For more than three years we have sold them from our own shop, to neighbours, to visitors and to anyone who stopped to ask how a bag was made. This website is that same shop, open to people who cannot get to the door.

To come from the owner: who started the collection and why, where the bags are woven and by whom, and where the coffee, pepper and chili are grown.
